Week of 10/19/09

Language Arts:
Monday: Run on sentences
HIB assembly

Tuesday: Run on sentences
Suspense story web- On your web put "suspense" in center and web 25 scary
sounds, places, and things.

Wednesday: Advisory - Students will review uppercase letters. Review worksheet are due Thursday.

Thursday: Correct uppercase worksheets - Students will complete end punctuation and abbreviations worksheet. Students will complete the worksheets for homework. We will be reading Fables.

Friday: We will review uppercase, end punctuation, and abbreviations worksheet. There will be a quiz on Monday. We will be reading "Aesop's Fables" for comprehension


Math Book 1:
Monday:Students will learn base 5 numbers - Homework: Chapter 2 Review Test

Tuesday: Go over Review Test

Wednesday: Chapter 2 Test

Thursday: Student will explore decimal representation. HW page 114-115 #10-30 even.

Friday: Students will learn to use the metric system.


Math Book 2:
Monday: Students will learn how to write fractions as decimals. - Homework: Chapter 2 Review Test
Tuesday: Go over Review Test

Wednesday: Chapter 2 Test

Thursday: Students will learn to find the least common multiple of numbers. Homework pages 16-17 #12-22 even

Friday: Students will learn to write mixed numbers and improper fractions.


History:
Monday: Archaeology Power Point - Students will write definitions on page 19 of your notebook.

Tuesday: Lucy Power Point - Write definitions on page 19 of your notebook. Answer questions at
the end of the Power Point.

Wednesday: On page 23 of your notebook write: How would my life be different if there were no stores, central heating, carpenters, craftsmen and technology beyond the use of stones and sticks?

Thursday: The Neolithic Age.

Friday: Video on the Stone Age/Neolithic Age
